Hey TWIST girls!
There's a new show coming to ABC Family this fall and we just caught up with one of it's stars, Sharon Pierre-Louis, to get all the deets! The Lying Game, based off of the novel written by the same author as Pretty Little Liars, Sara Shepard, premieres on August 15th and will def pack just as much (if not more) drama, suspense and of course, LIES, as PLL! This new series is a must-watch for sure! Read on as Sharon reveals more juicy info about her upcoming show!
TWIST: Can you tell us a little bit about your new show The Lying Game? Sharon: It's about these twins who end up growing up in different worlds. One goes through the foster care system and the other one gets adopted by this well-to-do family. The one [twin] in the foster care system ends up switching places with the one who was adopted and no one knows about the switch! The twin whose name is Emma, but she's acting like Sutton, doesn't really know Sutton that well but has to keep up the charades in order to have everything work out so the sister can then find the parents!
TWIST: How are you like or different from your character Nisha? Sharon: It's a complete different personality. I basically play the mean girl and in real life I'm really nice! But one thing that I do find in common is her drive. She's very focused. And that's how I am; I'm very much driven and focused on what I want to do.
TWIST: How does everyone on set get along? Sharon: We all get along really, really well, which is refreshing! We all have different distinct personalities and it comes together beautifully. We have a lot of fun with one another and we have great conversations and it's a good cast all around!
TWIST: This show is based off the novel written by Sara Shepard, who also wrote Pretty Little Liars. Are there any similarities between the two shows? Do you think PLL fans will also enjoy The Lying Game? Sharon: I think PLL fans can definitely enjoy The Lying Game! There are some similarities, but then again it's a completely different show. There are some lies involved and all that stuff! It's like trying to piece together a puzzle.
TWIST: In your opinion, why MUST viewers tune in to the premiere August 15th on ABC Family? Sharon: It's a fun show and it's a good show for families as well as for friends. You don't really know how it's going to go, even though it's based on the books. It's still a story that has its own birth to it! They'll be surprised!
Twist: Can you give us any show spoilers? Sharon: I'm not really allowed to reveal much. You just have to tune in!
TWIST: Thanks Sharon! We can't wait to watch The Lying Game! Sharon: Thanks TWIST!
