Hey TWIST lovers!
You may recognize cutie Tony Oller from his stint as Walt Moore on the TeenNick series Gigantic, but this talented young actor has a new project in store for you! Tony is starring as the popular high school quarterback, Tyler McFarland, in the upcoming TV movie Field of Vision. In the movie, Tyler finds himself in the center of a major bullying predicament. His teammates are big time bullies--but should he rat them out? If he does, it'll cost them the state championship. Find out what he chooses to do by watching NBC tonight, June 11th at 8PM ET/PT. And check out the vid below for a sneak peek!
Xoxo, TWIST TWIST: Tell us about your upcoming TV movie "Field of Vision." Tony: Well, I play a character named Tyler McFarland who's the popular kid in school but has to bring up the issue of bullying and decide whether he wants to be considered the tattletale of the team or do the right thing. You see this kid who goes from kind of having everything, to loosing everything for doing the right thing. It's just a good movie about bullying. TWIST: Describe your character Tyler McFarland a little more for us. Tony: Well he is the quarterback on the football team. He's "the Brad Pitt of high school!" He's a kid that you think is like a jock who wouldn't take a second look at a kid in need, but you start to see a lighter side to the character and you start to bond a little bit more with him. TWIST: That's really neat! Did you ever play football in real life? Tony: Absolutely not! Not ever in my life! Surprisingly, I was happy it was a sports movie because in general I like sports movies, but I didn't realize how much football involved! They had us in a little training camp like a week before it. I studied all that ramble jumble a quarterback makes before a play. It was definitely a new experience, but it was a blast! TWIST: That's cool! So in your opinion, why MUST viewers tune in to watch this movie on June 11th? Tony: I think they need to watch it because it's a very real movie. Through this movie you realize that the kid that you might be bullying might have so many other things going on that you don't even know about. By watching this movie, they're going to learn the side effects of bullying and what it can cause and the good people that can come out and take a stand and say it's not right.
TWIST: Can you give us any movie spoilers? Or tell us what your favorite scene to shoot was? Tony: There are some real tearjerker moments but at the very end we celebrate, and I'm not going to say why we're celebrating, but let's just say we celebrate and we exchange some lines! It's a smiling moment!
TWIST: Sounds great! We can't wait to see it. Thanks Tony! Tony: Thanks TWIST!
