TWIST chatted with Adam Hicks from Disney XD's Zeke and Luther and the DCOM, Lemonade Mouth! Adam dished on on-set pranks and opened up about his music career! Check out our exclusive interview below!
TWIST: What was it like filming Zeke and Luther this season? Adam: It was incredible! It's this comedy-driven room where there are so many ideas! It's a great environment for work--especially comedy because comedy is a lot of spontaneous idea and we do it all the time on Zeke and Luther. And we get to skateboard all day!
TWIST: What are some of your memories from on set? Adam: We do a lot of pranks on Zeke and Luther. I've walked into my room a couple times and there have been Barbie Doll posters covering my whole room! I've walked in at 6am and there are Barbie Doll posters everywhere! I think it's Hutch [Dano]--I don't know, I never found out.
TWIST: Can you tell us a little bit about your music? Adam: I'm working on loads of music. I try to hit all categories. I try get a love song, I try to get party music, I try to get real music, I try to l get motivational music... that's what I'm working on the most--having originality.
TWIST: What inspired you to write your music? Adam: I've been writing for years! It started when I was really young. I used to listen to songs and I would put it on repeat and go over the lyrics. Then I realized that I could expand and start expressing feelings through music. Because I can actually [express] it better than I can talking!
TWIST: Who are some of your musical inspirations? Adam: I love [David] Bowie, I love Skrillex, I love Big L, I love Biggie Smalls, I love Mike Posner, I love Bruno Mars--I even love him. I love all kinds of music!
T: Thanks for taking the time to talk to us! Can't wait to hear all your new stuff! Adam: Thank you so much! Have a good day!
