Taylor Swift has been very vocal about her love and respect for her crew of mega-fierce, super stylish best friends. The singer has made it known just how important she thinks it is for girls to be supportive of one another, but what about when one of your besties start to date an ex-boyfriend?
Well, that is essentially what's happening to the superstar right now, since her friend Gigi Hadid is rumored to be dating Joe Jonas, who we all know Tay dated back in the day. She dished out some wise words about how in the end, it shouldn't matter and girls should never let a guy affect their friendship.
“It’s almost like the sisterhood has such a higher place on the list of priorities for us. It’s so much more important than some guy that it didn’t work out with," Taylor said. "When you’ve got this group of girls who need each other as much as we need each other, in this climate, when it’s so hard for women to be understood and portrayed the right way in the media. . . . now more than ever we need to be good and kind to each other and not judge each other — and just because you have the same taste in men, we don’t hold that against each other."
Taylor's friendships are more important to her than any drama over an ex-boyfriend, so she chooses to just not even let it bother her if her friends happen to date someone she went out with at one time. That is having a rather mature outlook that everyone can learn from!
