Invisible Sister co-stars Karan Brar and Paris Berelc have reunited for a cool new project, and this time, the Disney Channel actors are helping out a really important cause. The stars are launching the #GetSchooled campaign in order to raise donations for The School Fund, which helps fund scholarships for a classroom of Kenyan students who otherwise would not be able to afford tuition for their school and have to drop out.
"I know sometimes we all complain about school, but when you imagine not being able to go at all—no chance at graduation, college, having your choice of career? That’s just tragic," Karan said in a statement. "We can’t eliminate school fees today, but we can at least help some people stay in school for another year."
"It’s not fair that depending upon where you were born, some of us get to go to school, and some live on maybe a dollar or two a day, and then they are charged $150-$500 if they want to go to school. Too many have no choice but to drop out," Paris added. "These particular students work really hard in school. They’re smart and would excel anywhere—so long as they have scholarships and can stay in school."
Here’s what I’ve been waiting to tell you guys!! Paris and I are working with @matts3v3rson and his organization, The School Fund, to help an entire classroom of students go back to school! Help us raise $5000 by donating AND if you donate $25+ you'll enter a raffle to have lunch with us! Link’s in my bio! #GetSchooled
One lucky supporter who participates in their campaign can even win a trip to LA to have lunch with the stars, which makes helping out even sweeter.
Paris and Karan filmed a video together which shares even more details about their mission, and you can check it out below.
