At some point or another, we have all felt self-conscious or worried about what our body looks like – even celebs. In a new interview, Miranda Cosgrove opened up about her struggles with body image when she was younger, admitting that her insecurities and perception of her appearance definitely got in the way of her having fun and caused her to miss out on enjoying moments she was experiencing.
"I definitely had moments when I didn't want to go to a pool party because I was like, 'Oh my gosh, I'll have to wear a bathing suit' – just the whole like thing of going somewhere and having your body be on display. It's scary," she says. "I was so shy."
Miranda credits going to college with helping her come into her own and break free from her shell.
"I'm at a place [now] where I'm like really comfortable in my own skin," she shared. "I don't worry anywhere near as much as I used to. When I was younger, I would just stress about everything and I wanted everything to go well so badly that I didn't really enjoy the moment enough."
We're glad that she's learning how to be more confident in her own skin – and are proud of her for sharing her perspective.
