Tonight's a big night for Milo Murphy's Law: the animated series makes its Disney Channel debut at 8 PM today, and we couldn't be more pumped for it. In anticipation of the show's premiere, TWIST caught up with actor MeKai Curtis, who lends his voice to the character of Zack Underwood, to ask him what he's most looking forward to with the show.
"I'm really excited for [fans] to just experience the overall craziness of the show!" MeKai tells us exclusively. "Throughout the entire show Milo, Zach, and Melissa go on crazy adventures that could easily get them killed. I really can't wait for them to see what Murphy's Law is. Trust me anything that can go wrong, will go wrong!"
You may know MeKai from his role as Fish Fisher on Kirby Buckets, and he shares that working on this animated project is very different from live acting.
"The overall vibe and swing of animated acting is quite different from live action acting," he shares. "With live acting, there is more preparation on the actor's part of things, as well as the crew. There are lines that have to be memorized, touchups that must happen and wardrobe to coordinate. There are just so many components that come along with doing live action."
"With animation, my lines don't necessarily HAVE to be memorized, and I don't have to worry about what look like in the booth—no touch ups!" he adds.
"Sometimes I just show up wearing joggers and a cool tee," he laughs. I can't really choose which one I like more though: animation and live are both so fun!"
