If you're anything like us, you feel a major rush of excitement when Kylie Jenner and her Kylie Cosmetics beauty company announce new product launches, and add dazzling new makeup colors to their repertoire. So you'd likely be really disappointed if the super limited-edition shade restocks you set literal reminder alarms for aren't all they're cracked up to be, right? Well, that's what's happening with some fans right now.
If you recall, Kylie's line launched a ton of holiday-edition liquid lipstick, eyeliner, and eyeshadow shades back in December 2016. One of her popular products included a 4-piece lip color set that featured a beautiful purple-berry shade called Blitzen, like the reindeer. But when some customers got their colors home, they found that the "new" shade was visibly nearly identical to her Halloween color, Spice.
Fans tweeted out photo comparisons featuring swatches of both colors, and they've got a point: we wouldn't be able to tell apart those shades without the names written in.
Some customers are going so far as to claim Kylie simply repackaged Spice in her limited edition silver holiday packaging and called it Blitzen.

To be fair: when it comes to makeup, even subtle changes in shade formulation can make for major differences in overall effect, especially with cool and warm skin tones. But it's a shame fans are feeling duped when it comes to their purchases – especially since each Lip Kit is pretty pricey!
So far, Kylie hasn't spoken out about these claims, but we'll keep you updated with developments in this story.
