Major congratulations are in order for Kevin Quinn: the BUNK'D and Adventures In Babysitting actor is about to take on a totally different role in the upcoming indie film, Canal Street – which will soon begin shooting in his hometown of Chicago.
Variety reports that the cast stars Empire actor Bryshere Gray along with Yancey Arias, Lance Reddick, Katie Chang, and Jamie Hector.
"Canal Street is a story about the reasons for the deep-seated divisions within the city of Chicago and the city’s diversity, touching on themes of family, friendship, and forgiveness," according to the site.
Kevin shared the big news on Twitter, explaining he's excited to join the production, and return to Illinois for the project.
In related news, Kevin's Disney Channel co-stars are also working on dramatically different new projects. His BUNK'D co-star Karan Brar has been shooting the fantasy-action movie Pacific Rim 2 on location in Australia for quite some time now, and it was also just recently announced that Peyton List will soon start working on the upcoming film adaptation of Anthem of a Reluctant Prophet.
What a talented – and busy! – group! In addition to his acting work, Kevin is also working on his musical career – he recently released his song "Lucky," and has been snapping tons of behind-the-scenes pics to let us know he's in the studio working on more music.
