Game Shakers fans will know actor Kel Mitchell as billionaire rapper and video game investor Double G on the show. But if you love him best from his 1990s Nickelodeon roles like Kenan & Kel, you'll remember the classic line that "Kel looooooves orange soda," – and you may even wonder why he never endorsed a soda company of his own in all that time.
Well, the actor recently spoke on ThePostGame's Podcast from pre-Super Bowl celebrations in Houston, Texas, and shared some insight on his pop consumption.
"I drink more water now," he shared. "I'm a little healthier. Some teas and things like that. I do still love orange soda. I'm actually working on my own orange soda cause I've given orange soda a lot of money."
In fact, Kel is even looking to develop a healthier label of soda.
"I do stand-up and people bring sodas for me to sign at the end of it," he said. "I'm working with a brand and I want it to be a healthy soda, a non-calorie soda because I work out a lot. I want people to be healthy. No calories, no sugar. It's very different. It still tastes good. This is the mogul side of me."
This is the kind of news that we never knew we needed to hear, but now we're just sobbing at the prospect of Kel-created healthier, sugar-free orange soda. If anyone can do it, he can.
