"The number one thing we try to promote is to just be who you are and love who you are, no matter what that means," Lauren Jauregui said. "We support that in every aspect of that meaning. I literally get chills thinking about us helping other people become who they are."
After meeting a trans fan who has recently transitioned and changed her name to Camila Joe, the girls realized just how much influence they can have on their fans, and to people all around the world.
"I think the fact that we're opening talking about it is going to make somebody else who is insecure about it or fearful of transitioning, be like 'Hey, there are people out there supporting me and accepting me,'" Camila Cabello said. "So I think that's a really important message to share because sometimes people unfortunately don't have that kind of support at home or from their friends so they feel like they can't be who they are but there are people out there who love you and want you to be yourself."
It's so great that the girls want to spread awareness about so many issues. Together, the five girls make none strong voice that is all about self-aceptance and most important, self-love, something that Camila, Lauren, Normani Hamilton, Dinah Jane Hansen and Ally Brooke Hernandez all agreed is the most important thing.
"The fact that we are able to inspire people while also doing what we love is just absolutely incredible," Normani said. "We went into X Factor and we didn't even know each other or what we would become so to be able to have the platform that we do have, we just want to use it for the better and to really help change the world."
Wow, these girls are set on making an impact and we are so glad we are able to witness their greatness!
