Earlier this week, news broke that one of our favorite Nickelodeon series, Talia in the Kitchen was canceled after only 40 episodes. The casts' announcements were both shocking and sad, and we still can't believe it's all true.
Actress Ellis Ann Jackson, who played Valerie on the show, posted a message on Instagram and ended up deleting it – but followed it up by posting another pic capturing a scene from the show and paired it with a really sweet message to fans.
"I deleted my post yesterday because I was completely overwhelmed with what was going on and was seeing people say they were upset but I feel like I owe it to you guys to post this," she shared. "To @nickelodeontv, thank you so much. To my cast and crew, I love you and will never forget the memories we had together. To my friends and family, thank you for the support and encouragement during this journey. To the fans, you're some of the most amazing human beings I have ever encountered. You guys make my heart flutter with every comment, post, letter, and tweet. Even though this is the end of #TaliaInTheKitchen, this is not the end of me. I'm going to continue pursuing a career in acting and hope you stick around to join me. I love you."
While we're devastated that Talia has come to an end, we have no doubt that Ellis is destined for even more fabulous things!
