"It's based on the book, Jessica is really authentic, she's very herself, and her sister tries to get her into the popular crowd," Chloe tells TWIST about the project. "She gives her an It-list with things on it like, 'wear something different every day,' and 'make the cheer team,' which is definitely a big problem for Jessica, because she face-plants when she does a cartwheel!"
"Jessica is in middle school, so you have all the drama of meeting new kids, and friendships that don't work out, all that kind of stuff people go through," she shares.
If you needed another dose of cool-factor, the entire project is being executive-produced by none other than Debby Ryan.
Chloe says that working with Debby has been so exciting – and inspiring.
"I got to meet her when I was doing ADR for the film, which is post-production," Chloe shares. "I wasn't expecting her, but I guess she was sitting there watching me the whole time. She came in and surprised me during a break, she got me a s'mores chocolate bar. We took like one billion selfies, I swear, because I was like, 'I need these for my Instagram!'"
"She's the sweetest, I love Debby so much. She's so encouraging. She's always positive – and her hair is awesome," Chloe raves."She's so motivating, she always sets the bar. It's so great to get inspiration."
"Of course, I love [her Disney Channel show] Jessie. Every time I came back from set, I would turn on Jessie," she adds. Same.
