Just the other day, Selena Gomez and Tommy Dorfman and Alisha from the cast of the Netflix series she produces 13 Reasons Why made their love for the series permanent by getting matching tattoos together. Inspired by the big issues their show tackles, the three stars inked tiny semicolon designs onto their wrists in tribute to Project Semicolon, an initiative with a mission to tell the story of those who struggle with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide.
Well now, another one of the 13RW cast members is showing his support for the project and his cast: actor Brandon Flynn, who plays Justin Foley on the show, just got his own semicolon tattoo. When debuting his new ink on Instagram, he shared a beautiful and inspirational message for all of us reading.
"My new addition ;) As a pledge of love and hope for people who deal with suicidal thoughts, depression, addiction, and self injury... be the author of your own story and allow your story to continue because it could help others and change the world," Brandon wrote. "I love you and please go to 13reasonswhy.info for resources and to find out people care 💙."
In an added twist, Brandon explained that the color choice for his ink also pays tribute to the show. "Got it In blue for Hannah Baker and her polish," he said, referencing the blue nail polish Hannah wore in the series, which has also been worn as a show of support by the cast.
