Becky G has recently been all about living a healthier lifestyle. From sending us motivational messages to influencing her friends to try out something new in the gym, the singer is quickly becoming a fitness guru! We had a chance to chat with Becky after she performed at the On the Road to the Radio Disney Music Awards event, and she told us the best way to start bringing working out into our everyday lives.
"Take it at your own pace. Don’t push yourself too hard, but also don’t take it easy on yourself. You know your limits," she dished to TWIST. "Just start with running, jogging, even going walking. And now I’ve just started to get into it a little bit harder, training, learning some kickboxing, getting in on the abs and stuff. So now that I’ve built up this courage to go harder working out, I feel better. So everybody at their own pace."
Solid advice! Along with trying out different workouts, the "Shower" singer said she changed her eating habits and adopted more healthier options into her diet.
"For me, when I first got in, I started with eating healthier because it made me feel better about myself," she told us. "I noticed differences in my skin. You know, being a teenager, you’re never going to get rid of your acne, but I just felt like it’s important to drink a lot of water, make a lot of healthy decisions. But also, I’m not trying to go crazy. I still love French fries and pizza, [it's] just choosing the right times to eat French fries and pizza."
Becky has managed to find the perfect balance of eating clean, and letting herself indulge in her fave snacks. What's most important is that she feels super confident in herself, so clearly she's doing things right. She has it all figured out!
