Ariana Grande's every move is always in the spotlight, and she knows exactly what it's like to have to deal with the constant pressure to look a certain way. The singer opened up in a new interview about how she feels society puts too much pressure on young people and their appearance, something she can directly relate to.
"There's always so much focus on physical beauty and there's this standard that's set so high nowadays of like what it means to be pretty or what's beautiful," Ariana said. "It's unfair. It's a very unrealistic, superficial obsession that frustrates me."
The singer has dealt with constant attention for nears now, and she spoke about how navigating social media hasn't always been the easiest, since there can be a lot of negativity out there. She has since learned to not pay attention the haters and simply just wants to be there for her fans.
"When I was younger I used to get really hurt by it because people can be very aggressive, especially on the Internet, but I tend to not read about me as much. I just try to my best each day," she said. "I want to inspire girls and boys and whoever's listening to feel better because there's so much pressure, not just on me, on everyone."
Even Ari deals with the same exact things her fans do, and she just wants to help them out, all while changing the world's beauty standards. No big deal.
