TWIST wants to know, is Zach hot or not? Do you want to see him in TWIST?
With New Moon and The Vampire Diaries, it seems like our bloodthirsty craving for vampires is growing day-by-day! And more vamps are headed your way! Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant hits the big screens today, so we talked to the star, Jessica Carlson, to get the scoop! She even spills on smooching her costar! Listen in on our convo after the jump :)
Spill it, girls! Will you go catch The Vampire's Assistant in theaters this weekend?
TWIST recently caught up with the cute Brit Freddie Highmore, star of the upcoming movie Astro Boy. Freddie voices the title character, who is a futuristic robot searching for acceptance after being rejected by the scientist who created him. The movie is full of Astro Boy's adventures of learning who and what he is. Talk about the surprise you'd have if you found out you had super-powers!
Check out the trailer below, and then read our exclusive interview with Freddie, where we talk about the movie, girls and Halloween (he might need your help coming up with a costume!). Give him ideas in the comments!
XO,
Intern Kelly
TWIST: Hi Freddie! First, tell us a little bit about Astro Boy?
Freddie: Well, Toby was the son of Dr. Tenema and he dies at a young age. So the doctor creates Astro Boy, who is a robot, to replace his son, Toby.
TWIST: How did you relate to Astro Boy?
Freddie: I think everyone has something in common with Astro Boy. It's just, he's so relatable. And he has this energy in him that's just purely positive. He is just good and everyone can find something in common with him, especially with how he is a robot and he just wants to fit in, you know?
TWIST: Do you have a particular favorite scene or part of the film?
Freddie: I really liked the whole film. I actually watched it the other day and the climax is really great. Of course, I can't really give too much away about that, but yeah, it's just really great, because it's not just action -- it has really emotional parts as well as funny parts. Its great for kids and parents because kids will love it, and the parents won't be bored either.
TWIST: OK, so you're 17? Have you started to date yet?
Freddie: Yeah, but it's kind of difficult to date and have a relationship. Not just with girls, but also with my family. I mean, I don't even get to see my family everyday, so having a relationship is even more difficult.
TWIST: And Halloween is just around the corner, so do you have any great memories you can share? Like, anything with a crush?
Freddie: Everyone asks about Halloween! I usually went out with my brother every year around the area that we lived. I guess you guys have to sort of be ahead of the game, but not any particular ones. I guess I remember my first costume. It was just a sheet really with holes that I cut for my eyes and I was a ghost!
I got to hang out with the sweetest guys, Josh and Zach Carter. The (really cute) 19 year old blond brothers are new country-pop singers called The Carter Twins and are going to be on A Very Special Christmas CD with Miley, Sean Kingston, Vanessa Hudgens, Carrie Underwood, Ashley Tisdale, and more!
Check out them singing one of their songs, Reinvent the Wheel below and click "read more" to eavesdrop on my convo with them. You'll find out which brother is single, what it's like being friends with Carrie Underwood, and what they're learning now that they wouldn't learn in college.
We've got a great new artist for you to listen to! Check out solo artist Brian Skistimas, the singer-songwriter behind Five Times August. Check out the "Better With You" music video above and then click here for a PopEater.com interview with the musician!
Tell TWIST, what do you think of Five Times August? Give us your reviews in the comments!
With the holidays right around the corner, it's a great time to hang out with your family and get into the holiday spirit! One of our movie picks this year is Little Spirit. It takes us on a magical adventure with a boy named Leo, who learns the true meaning of Christmas. He travels around New York City in search of his dog Ramona, who he accidentally loses in Central Park! Disney star Brenda Song voices a character in the movie, so check out our Q&A with her after the jump!
We also have 5 DVDs to give to a few lucky readers! To enter, comment this blog with YOUR favorite holiday movie!

I got to hang out with the lovely Jordin Sparks last week and she told me all about her plans to have a huge sleep-over with girls all across the country! It will be November 7, online at beinggirl.com and Jordin is going to play games, give advice and sing for everyone who signs up at beinggirl.com. Here's what Jordin told me about the event:
"Girls said 'we want to do Truth Or Dare.' So we're doing Truth or Dare. And girls are going to ask questions as well. They'll be logging on and I'll be singing and doing some other things too so they can send in questions and different things like that, which will be really awesome."
Fun! For every girl who signs up, $1 is donated to Protecting Futures, which helps keep girls all over the world in school.
