I was definitely up at 5 a.m. today watching the lovely Kate Middleton marry Prince William. I loved every second of it: Kate riding in the carriage on her way to the church waving to everyone in the crowd, Prince Harry whispering to his big brother "wait until you see her," Prince William telling Kate she looked gorgeous when she finally made her way down the aisle... Sigh. It really was right out of a fairy tale.
But, obviously as fashion editor, I couldn't wait to see Kate's dress. I suspected it would be very chic and classic, and she proved me right, wearing a floor-length white gown with embroidered French lace. It would have been easy to overload on royal jewels, but Kate kept her accessories simple, opting for gorg dangly earrings and skipping a necklace.
