TWIST: Can you tell us a little bit about Lab Rats?
KB: Yeah! Basically, Lab Rats is about my two bionic brothers and me. We have superhuman powers and we've lived in an underground lab our entire lives, and we were created by a billionaire scientist. He gets married, and now he has a stepson, who kind of discovers us. He takes us out into the real world, because he's never been there before - and we experience school, classes, boys, and other kids... We go through the ups and downs of real life as a family.
TWIST: Sounds cool! Can you tell us a little bit about your character Bree?
KB: Yeah! Bree is 15 years old and has two brothers. Her ability is super speed and super agility. And when she gets out into the real world, she's a little bit insecure at first, because she's just trying to be a normal girl and she's trying to live up to a normal girl's standards. And sometimes, she doesn't do it quite the right way because her bionics interfere a little bit, but she's just trying her best to be a normal girl and fit in.
TWIST: Okay, cool! So, how do you relate to Bree?
KB: Just like Bree has her insecurities when she's out in the real world, I have mine. You know, she's trying to be a normal girl and be the best girl that she can be, and I'm trying to be the best girl I can be.
TWIST: How did you become interested in acting?
KB: When I was about 10 years old, my best friend had always been an actress, and I always thought it was the coolest thing in the world. I have always been interested in the arts because I've been a dancer and a singer my entire life, and I thought it would be pretty cool if I got into this acting thing. Actually, I did a school production that featured my dancing and my acting, and there was a talent agent there. She came up to my mom and asked if I had an agent, and she recommended us to [one], and it just kind of started all from there.
TWIST: Cool! So, what is your favorite memory from the set of Lab Rats so far?
KB: Favorite memory, gosh... there are so many! I just love being on set there every day. My favorite memory is actually pretty recent. There was a prank that we pulled on one of the writers, which was pretty funny. Spencer [Boldman, who plays Adam] actually called and pretended to be someone from a jewelry company saying that [the writer's] credit card said that he had purchased $3,000 worth of jewelry, and he totally fell for it! It was so funny!
TWIST: That is really funny! So, what's the vibe like with the rest of the cast?
KB: It's such a fun environment! I'm so lucky that I get to go there and call that place my work. We're just like one big family - we're always hanging out, both on and off set, even the crew, too - we're just like one huge family. It's such a fun place to be.
TWIST: Do you have any upcoming projects that you would like to tell us about?
KB: Let's see, as of right now, I'm just focusing on Lab Rats, but I might have some music coming out, we'll see! That's kind of what I'm working on right now.
TWIST: Thank you so much for talking to us!
KB: It was nice talking to you! Thank you!
