It should come as no surprise, but the editors of TWIST are fangirls extraordinaire. We're always curious about the items our favorite celebrities can't live without. While talking to Tiffany Houghton about her new holiday single, "Hello Sailor," her upcoming album, and her morning routine, we also asked the singer to dish about her must-haves. She shared her favorite beauty products and the two things she needs to have in her hands each day. (Hint: It has a lot to do with her creative process and her gratitude practice.)
Eccolo Spiral Journal ($7.99, target.com): I have to have that silent time every morning to write in my journal and remember what truly matters to me. It’s the first thing [I do] in the morning. You get everything out like, ‘Now I don’t have to carry this weight with me all day long.’ A journal is just so important. Especially with gratitude, as you look for things to be grateful for, you have more to be grateful for. I just think that makes for a happy person.
Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life by Wayne Dyer ($11.52, amazon.com): I’m always reading a book. It’s so important for me to always be learning and reading. Right now, I’m rereading a book called Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life by Wayne Dyer.
Kevyn Aucoin Skin Enhancer Foundation ($34.58, amazon.com): Of course, I think that beauty truly comes from doing things [like writing or practicing gratitude] first in the morning and everything. But then, oh my goodness, I love Kevyn Aucoin. His foundation is the best thing ever. A little goes a long way. That’s my favorite foundation this year.
stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Baci ($29, amazon.com): Baci by Stila is my favorite color. It’s a light purple, but it comes across as like nude or pink. I love that.
Beauty Bioscience Balancing Cleanser ($35, hsn.com): There’s a skincare line called Beauty Bioscience. Their face wash is the best face wash and their lotions are the best I’ve ever used in my life. It’s such a soft cleanser, but it literally gets everything off. And always for camera, I have so much makeup on. I don’t have to scrub my face like crazy [with this cleanser]. It’s so gentle, but it’s everything I want. It’s the single greatest cleanser and lotions I’ve ever used, and I’ve used a lot.
MAC Lipglass in Snob ($16, macys.com): I’m all about the gloss.
