Rejection can be the hardest thing to face. Whether it's rejection from your crush, or if you get turned down from your dream school or internship, it somehow always manages to feel like the literal worst when the possibility that was once at your fingertips turns into a hard "no." Nobody knows this feeling better than actors, who constantly get turned down at auditions and are constantly fighting for new roles. That's right – even the top performers in the industry will tell you that they hear the word "no" more times than they hear "yes," – and they have found various ways to cope over their experiences.

In her recent interview with AOL Build, Sofia Carson said she got nearly 200 "Nos" at auditions before hearing her first big "Yes," – Disney Channel's Descendants.
“The first year definitely no callbacks," she recalled. "But as time goes on, I felt like the best acting school I had was going on these many auditions. After my 200 something audition is when I was cast as Evie. It was my first film, my first big job... it changed my life.”
“In this business, I always say there are a lot of closed doors, a lot of Nos, and a lot of songs that no one ever wants to hear," she added. "One day there is that open door. And you just have to know that open door is going to come. There is that role that is right for you. You have to look at every audition as an opportunity to impress the casting director, to leave your mark and to keep your head up high. Because if you get destroyed by every single one, it’s almost torturous. You have to believe in yourself and put the work in, and your dreams can come true."
