David Henrie married his longtime girlfriend Maria Cahill—but it was the Wizards of Waverly Place reunion that had everyone in their feelings this past weekend, including Selena Gomez. The star's presence at the wedding was expected since she is so close to David, who played her big brother in the Disney Channel show, but seeing her reunite with her TV family was super emotional.
The singer posted a before and after collage of the Russo's back in the day and one from the wedding, followed by a series of photos from the big day. She wrote a sweet message in the caption, saying that they knew all along that he would be the first to tie the knot.
"Very much in my feelings about my big brother getting married," she said. "Even though we for sure knew it would be him first. May God bless you and your beautiful wife Henrie! 💕"
The groom shared a photo with his TV fam and said, "It was truly and honor to have my whole cast come to my big day! Could be more blessed and appreciative of all that we did together... Many memories I'll never forget and always cherish."
Jake T Austin was the first one to share the photo saying, "A special day with some amazing people."
Jennifer Stone wrote: "Congratulations David & Maria! I hope you guys have a beautiful marriage and a wonderful life together. Loved getting to celebrate your union with our little TV family!"
Maria Canals-Barrera (who looks exactly the same as she did on the show!) shared the group photo saying, "Reunited for a special day yesterday that was beyond magical. It was blessed. So happy for our @DavidHenrie!"
It is so great seeing how much love still exists between the actors, even though so much time has passed since they worked together on the show. It must have been so special for David to have all of them by his side on his big day as he married his longtime love. We wish the couple the best of luck in their marriage.
