Natalie Dormer has a brand new movie role, and she's excited for us all to meet her characters! The actress plays twin sisters Sara and Jess in the upcoming new horror film, The Forest, and it has been quite the journey getting to know the opposite personalities of both of her characters. TWIST recently caught up with the actress, and she explained what it was like becoming part of the story, where one sister gets lost in a forest and the other attempts to find her.
"[The movie] is based on this incredible relationship between these two sisters, and then this idea that you wander into a forest and that your own [personal] demons that you've been trying to suppress come up to greet you, was really interesting for me to explore," Natalie tells TWIST.
"It's got the fun and the frights as well, but for me the really scary thing for me is the mental descent into madness that Sara goes through," she explains. "I have a real sister in real life, and if I ever felt that I was losing my way in my characterization, I just took it back to 'I'm standing in a forest at 3AM, it's freezing cold, I'm tired... now just imagine that my real sister is in this forest and I'm terrified for her and hope she's okay."
It's so cool that she has such gritty and real inspiration behind one of her most supernatural roles ever!
