Maia Mitchell has a special trick when it comes to dealing with people who post mean comments online, and it's simple! Just ignore them! Maia took to Twitter to tell fans that it's not even worth it to give cyber bullies the time of day.
If you see bullying online, don't give it energy. Shut it down by ignoring it. Bullies have the power if you give it to them. Spread love!— Maia Mitchell (@MaiaMitchell) September 12, 2016

Maia's right. Responding to hate comments gives internet trolls a chance to fire back each time. Take the high road and ignore them instead. It's much more classy to spread love than it is to waste your time with total haters.
Thanks to Instagram, ignoring mean comments is a little bit easier nowadays. The app has made it a priority to protect their users by launching a feature that blocks certain words you don't want to see in your comment section. By clicking the gear icon on your profile and tapping "Comments," you can choose to hide comments that contain words or phrases that are typically reported as offensive. Now that's how you ignore bullies!
