Two of your favorite stars have been cast in the same series! It has just been announced that Carlos PenaVega landed a role in The CW dramedy pilot Life Sentence, which also stars the fabulous Lucy Hale. Best part? The Grease: Live and Big Time Rush star will be playing the brother-in-law of Lucy's character. How cool is that?
The fact that the Nickelodeon alum and Pretty Little Liars actress are playing family members in this new pilot is almost too exciting to handle, but you'll be hit with even more feels when you hear how crazy this show sounds. The series follows the story of a young woman named Stella, played by Lucy, who is diagnosed with terminal cancer. But here's the twist – Stella then finds out that she is cured and not dying after all. As a result, she is faced with the challenge of still attempting to “live like she was dying" – even though she's not. Wild, right?
Carlos' character is a guy named Darrius, who is the definition of a super positive, family-oriented man. He works as a pharmaceutical representative, and that is how he first met Stella's sister Elizabeth – played by actress Brooke Lyons.
Right when news broke about Carlos' new role, his wife Alexa PenaVega took to Instagram to brag about her hubbie.
"PROUD WIFE!!! 😍😍😍😍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 so proud of you my angel. I love you so much!!!" she wrote alongside her post.
Life Sentence isn't the only thing Carlos and Lucy's have planned for this year. In fact, the two stars are very busy with other current productions that are in the works.
Aside from lending his voice to the animated character Bobby in Nickelodeon's The Loud House, Carlos is also starring in the upcoming family dramedy Sleep Away alongside his wife Alexa. Pretty impressive for the busy parents of a 3-month-old baby – hmm, we wonder if they'll let Ocean tune into the new show!
We can't wait to see the pilot for ourselves!
