There's no arguing that Kylie Jenner is definitely a trendsetter, and has a lot of influence when it comes to making styles popular. But there are just some looks that we can all agree she didn't create herself, and one of those is wearing wigs. In a new interview with Marie Claire, the starlet explained that she "started wigs," and we have her to thank for making the look go widespread.
"I started wigs, and now everyone is wearing wigs," she boldly claimed. "[My sister] Kim [Kardashian] just used my wig guy last night...I just do whatever I want to do, and people will follow."
It's true that Kylie's fans are inspired by her fashion fearlessness, but people have been wearing wigs since forever. Tons of Twitter users and celebs shared their thoughts about the comments, including stars like Rowan Blanchard.

After the news broke, Kylie took to Twitter to defend herself. Though she didn't name-drop a publication, she implied that her quote was taken out of context.
