We just heard the news that The Thundermans is getting picked up for an unexpected addition of six more episodes, but Nickelodeon isn't done announcing their latest shows! The network also revealed that they have picked up a brand new live-action comedy series called Knight Squad that was created and executive produced by Sean Cunningham & Marc Dworkin – executive producers of The Thundermans – and you're going to recognize some familiar faces in the cast.
Nickelodeon picked up 20 episodes of Knight Squad, which will star 100 Things To Do Before High School's Owen Joyner as "Arc," Legendary Dudas' Daniella Perkins as "Ciara," Liv and Maddie and BUNK'D's Amarr M. Wooten as "Warwick," Modern Family's Lexi DiBenedetto as "Prudence," Bella and the Bulldogs' Lilimar as "Sage" and Santa Hunters' Kelly Perine as "Sir Gareth."
"Knight Squad is set at a magical school for knights in training, where two mismatched students form an unlikely alliance to protect each other’s secret and pursue their dreams," according to a Nickelodeon show description.
The series is scheduled to start production this fall in Los Angeles, but it won't be the first time the cast is getting together. In fact, we had a hunch that some kind of new series was on its way, as several of the veteran Nickelodeon actors had been sharing group photos with one another a lot recently. In fact, Lilimar even joked they look "just like a cast."
They sure do, and we can't wait to see them in action!
