The cast of The Thundermans is celebrating big right now! Why? Well, it was announced that the Nickelodeon superhero series is getting an extended fourth season, because it was picked up for six more episodes that will be shot this June. With all of these new episodes, the show will actually also hit a major milestone: it will surpass the 100-episode mile mark and finish with a total of 103 episodes.
This is a big deal because this makes The Thundermans Nickelodeon's longest-running live-action sitcom since iCarly. (That fan-beloved series hit its own 100th episode back in 2012.)
After the news broke, the cast took to social media to share their reactions to the news. Actress Kira Kosarin gathered her TV family – Jack Griffo, Addison Riecke, and Diego Velazquez – on her Instagram story, and shared that they are so excited about the news – and extending their filming – though they won't be breaking iCarly's record of 106 episodes, still standing as the longest running show on Nickelodeon.
They're coming pretty darn close though!
If 103 episodes of The Thundermans still isn't enough for you, we totally understand. But there also a ton of other ways you can catch the Thunderfam coming up soon. First up, Kira and Jack, along with their co-stars Maya Le Clark and Chris Tallman, will all be appearing on the upcoming Nickelodeon TV event, the Sizzling Summer Camp special on June 4 at 7 PM. Then, you'll be able to see the full cast in an upcoming television movie that they recently filmed together!
