Keke Palmer stole the show with her performance in Grease: Live. From her musical numbers to her jaw-dropping costume quick-change, she kept us on the edges of our seat during the entire musical! So when TWIST caught up with the star ahead of the show's DVD release today, we asked her if there was anything she was worried about before diving into the live show.
"Sure I was worried [about my costume changes], I mean come on!" Keke tells us. "I was so worried something crazy would happen."
But she didn't let nerves get in her way because she was really confident that all of her rehearsals paid off. "I just let it ride. I rehearsed, and that's the thing to remember. If you practice and even if you get nervous, your body is going to know where to go," she shares. "So honestly, we were well prepared."
Keke shares that the magical moment was actually part of a bigger goal for the show.
"We were creating these moments that we were hoping would be moments. Like Carly [Rae Jepsen] doing the newly-written song for the show? And the quick-change I did," she says. "We were hoping people got as excited as we did. So when we saw the reaction [on Twitter], we were like, yay, we did our job."
So, were there any bloopers on stage we didn't pick up on home?
"I know there were some!" Keke spills. "It was a blooper that I caught the wig, I didn't have to but for some reason I just caught it. It's so accidental!"
