Kat Graham is losing her underwear, all for a good cause. We caught up with the actress and singer and she told us about how she has partnered with Cottonelle as part of World Toilet Day, in hopes of raising $50,000 for the nonprofit organization, Water for People. They focus on helping those all around the world gain have access to clean water and other proper sanitation needs, a cause Kat feels very strongly about.
"Basically, Cottonelle provides products to help people feel as as clean as possible and there's more than 2.5 billion people in the world who don't have access to toileting. I think people take a lot of what we have for granted we don't always realize what we actually have, so we're doing a really cool call to action to raise money," Kat tells TWIST exclusively. "For every one who tweets with the hashtag, #GoCommando4ACause, Cottonelle will donate $1 to Water for People. We're going to be starting this Sunday during the American Music Awards and I'll be going to the AMAs commando."
So Kat is going to be attending the show – minus her undergarments – which is a very brave and bold move.
"The whole commando thing is not as nerve racking. I wish I was more nervous about not wearing underwear! But with red carpets, you always have to worry about panty lines and at least this time I have a good reason for not wearing any underwear. I've been asking all my fans to do it too and I have a feeling they're going to be super excited. Any excuse for them not to wear their underwear!" she jokes.
If you want to get involved but want to keep your underwear in place that's totally fine too! Kat made it clear that any way a person wants to get involved helps and she's just excited to see how much of a change she and all those working with the cause can make.
"I'm so honored to be a part of Cottonelle and that they're doing something so big to help the world," she says.
