Where: Vanity Fair Oscars party
Wearing what: Tom Ford dress
Jennifer Lawrence has made it no secret that she isn't about depriving herself of any of her favorite foods just to look skinnier when she hits the red carpet. Lots of people have even praised her for having a "normal" woman's body in Hollywood.
But the actress is still very slender, works hard to stay fit, and knows that she she doesn't represent what the majority girls look like – which is why she wants us to redefine what we think of when we say "normal" and "healthy" bodies.
"I would like us to make a new normal body type," she said in a new interview with Harpers Bazaar. "Everybody says: ‘We love that there is somebody with a normal body!’ And I’m like: ‘I don’t feel like I have a normal body.’ I do Pilates every day. I eat, but I work out a lot more than a normal person."
"I think we’ve gotten so used to underweight, that when you are a normal weight, it’s like: ‘Oh, my God, she’s curvy.’ Which is crazy. The bare minimum would be to up the ante. At least so I don’t feel like the fattest one."
It's so great that Jennifer is calling out the strangeness here – and reminding girls every where that there's no one way to look healthy.
