Last night, Disney Channel officially confirmed the news that literally zero people wanted to hear: Girl Meets World has been canceled, and will not be returning for a fourth season. While we're all still coming to terms with this decision, (and shrieking, "WHY?" "Just WHY?" at sporadic intervals, tbh) several members of the cast have spoken out with very wisely and elegantly written reaction statements to the news.
Stars like Sabrina Carpenter, Rowan Blanchard, and more have shared poignant messages on their social media accounts explaining just how much the show and its dedicated audience (that's us, you guys!) mean to them – but it's not the first time that the series' actors have opened up about what they've learned from portraying their iconic characters.
After all, not an episode of Girl Meets World goes by without us learning a valuable life lesson, and the same goes for the actors in their roles.

"We had the privilege of growing up in front of your eyes. The privilege of teaching the lessons we were learning ourselves and beyond that," Sabrina Carpenter shared on Instagram after the news of the show's cancelation got around. "People thought it was weird that I was excited to go to work. People thought it was weird that we really did and still do love each other. That's a rare entity, we hold that tight. I know I feel very lucky to have given life to Maya hart."
