Spring has finally sprung, and there are about a thousand ways that we're celebrating. Dusting off our trusty floral crowns, giving ourselves full permission to wear head-to-toe florals, and cleaning out our closets to make room for all of this season's upcoming trends. We're not the only ones doing some serious spring cleaning though – Dove Cameron has a tradition of doing so, and helping out a great cause while she's at it!
The Liv and Maddie actress tweeted that she's going through a cleanse right now, which includes getting rid of half of her stuff.
deleting old songs, notes & photos from my phone without a thought. next: give away 1/2 my stuff. i make this a regular habit. #CLEANSE #NEW— Dove Cameron (@DoveCameron) March 19, 2017

When a fan suggested Dove donate some of her clothing and such to churches or charities, the actress replied that this is a big part of her process. She says she donates to a women's shelter so that many others can benefit from what she can no longer use anymore.
Besides it being totally amazing that Dove is helping others by donating pieces of her wardrobe, and encouraging others to do the same, this spring is definitely a time of endings and new beginnings for her, so starting over with her possessions is a great way to mirror that. This week, we will see the emotional finale of her Disney Channel series Liv and Maddie, and we can't believe it's time to say goodbye to the characters we've grown to love so dearly over the past four seasons.
But she has also revealed that she's working on brand new solo music, and of course we have many new Dove projects, like Descendants 2 to look forward to, so there's definitely a silver lining in all this change.
