Demi Lovato has literally been slaying the confidence game lately. She has never felt better and healthier than she does right now, and in a new interview, the singer opened up about why it's so important for her to vocalize how far she has come with her personal battles, and why she's no longer afraid to wear whatever she wants.
"I went from being in a place where I was suffering from an eating disorder and hating every single inch of my body to now baring my legs and showing more skin in front of the whole world and being proud of my body instead of loathing it," she said. "It's important for me to show people you can go from hating yourself to loving yourself and being proud of your body and the skin your in."
Demi knows she as a ton of people looking up to her and watching her every move, so she's making sure she sends a positive message to her fans, one that is filled with hope and powerful self-love.
"When I give myself an hour, an hour and a half to focus solely on me, listening to the new album, getting hyped while working out and staying healthy, that meditation is what keeps me feeling confident, strong and inspired to be the best version of myself. [I can] help empower women with this album and my strength," Demi said.
And that is exactly what she is going to do.
