When you initially join a fandom, there is definitely that phase when you just want to immerse yourself in all of it and do the best you can to get caught up with all of the ins and outs. This is especially true for fans of Fifth Harmony and One Direction. Those who choose to support these groups quickly learn they have a strong social media presence since there are fans all over the world of these singers and there are often trending topics daily about these groups. The latest trend we happened to notice on Twitter was #CarenAndLarryAreNotReal and we were kind of left scratching our heads with this one.
This hashtag is about two ships that exist in the fandoms:
For reasons unknown to us here at TWIST, fans decided to chat about these ships and while trying to express their thoughts seemed to have gotten too excited and spelled the one of these popular ship names wrong. "Caren" and not "Camren" was in the trending topic and technically, it doesn't really matter how it's spelled, but Camren is the more commonly used term. It's always important to stay consistent, especially if there's a chance the celebs you're tweeting about takes note of these trending topics!
Either way, it's safe to say these friendships are real and still in tact, no matter what fans decide to call them.
