Need some new jams that you can totally rock out to? Well, Brooklyn-based pop singer Amy Allen has just debuted her very first single, "Get Me Outta Here!", and we are excited to premiere your first listen to it. Get those headphones on!
"'GMOH!' is kind of an inner dialogue about my unending sense of restlessness. I feel like at one time or another, we all feel overwhelmed by how many things we want to change in our lives that we don't even know where to begin," Amy tells TWIST about the story behind her song.
"I remember coming home one day feeling like just absolute shit about everything and I couldn't even pinpoint what was actually wrong," she adds. "I just sat on the floor in the hallway of my apartment, blasting Pat Benatar in my headphones and wrote the chorus on the back of a grocery receipt. I guess that's how it all started. Pretty glamorous."
IT'S HERE! Go get GMOH! todayyyy 🦄⛈So strange I started writing this record over a year ago and now the first single is finally out! To everyone involved in recording the song- I love you to the 🌙 and back, especially Dirty Dawg, Manolo, Lükuid, Bobo, Uncle Charlie, and Kaybae. You guys are my rock (but more like a precious stone that sparkles and grounds me and brings me good fortune *occasionally,* and I will cherish you always). To my friends, famjam and everyone else- I hope you enjoy it and stay tuned for the rest <3 All systems go. Over + out ✌🏻🚀
