By now you've watched YouTube videos of her performances, studied the setlist and checked out her costumes, but there are a few factoids about Selena Gomez's Stars Dance tour that you probably don't know. The star recently sat down with MTV News to dish on her concert wardrobe, and she revealed some tidbits that surprised us.
1. Selena helped design the costumes.
"This tour I wanted to actually help design all of the clothes," Selena says. "It's showing a little bit of skin, but its being really graceful and fun. We have some shawls and beautiful pieces that I kind of sketched with my stylist. It's been really fun. It's been a very girly part of the tour for sure. I've been super into making the clothes and everything so beautiful."
2. There's a reason why she wears only solid colors on stage.
"I wanted to do something different, and my choreographer actually came up with it. I would be in all solids and my dancers would be in prints, so it's kind of reversed," Selena explains. "They're such an important part of my show, and I like to highlight some of the moves that they do and highlight my dancers in general."
3. There are less costume changes than you think.
"There are four looks for the tour and then we have embellishments. We have a clip on hoodie; we have a clip on skirt; we have a change of shoes like three times. There are a lot of moments," the star says. "It looks like there are like six looks, but there's only four. It's fun to add pieces on."
