Hey TWIST readers!
We are officially just one week away from The Hunger Games premiere, and are super excited to catch the movie in theaters next Friday! For Day 4, we chatted with Willow Shields, who plays Prim, Katniss's little sister in the movie! Today, we give you the behind the scenes scoop from the The Secret Sisters, whose song "Tomorrow Will Be Kinder" is featured on The Hunger Games soundtrack.
"I was really shocked more than anything else. That was the last thing we expected to come out of that song, but we are really glad it did. We're super proud of the song and we're so glad we had this platform to display it on and we are just excited for the movie itself! It's just a real honor for the both of us to be on it!"
Which song are you most excited to hear play in the movie? Share your opinion in the comments below and pick up the March issue of TWIST for a special Hunger Games mag!

TWIST: What was your initial reaction when you found out your song "Tomorrow Will Be Kinder" would be featured on The Hunger Games soundtrack?
Laura: In the kind of musical surroundings that we are on the soundtrack, it's just kind of remarkable. I mean last night we were sitting at the premiere and listening to the soundtrack they had playing before the movie came on, and it was just kind of surprising.
TWIST: You were inspired to write this song after a devastating tornado ripped through your hometown--Can you tell us more about that? How did the song relate to The Hunger Games?
Laura: Lydia was actually really inspired by the pain that she was hearing about through the news. We were so far from home. We were kind of having a hard time dealing with all of the emotions that we felt because of those storms. So Lydia sat down and started writing this song and it ended up being so moving and so touching even though it's kind of dark. It really alludes to really dark circumstances. It was just so beautiful because of the hope and the optimism that it presented. So when we were offered an opportunity to write a song for The Hunger Games, we started other songs but "Tomorrow Will Be Kinder" just really did it so well and it was applicable to the entire book series. Just the first book it was so...it seemed so connected to the subject matter of the book. We really believed that it was meant to be.
TWIST: Do you guys have any favorite parts of the movie after watching it at the premiere?
Laura: Oh my goodness, it was so moving. There's a part where one of the characters in the arena dies, a little girl named Rue. Rue gets shot by an arrow from one of the other tributes and she lays there and Katniss, the main character, sings to her. Once the little girl has died, she threw a bunch of flowers and lays them all around her body. I don't want to give too much away but it's just so... it's really touching.
TWIST: Awesome! So are you Team Peeta or Team Gale?
Lydia: Oh shoot! I'm still Team Gale but Peeta is growing on me.
Laura: I'm going to have to say that I really like... oh goodness, this is hard! When I went into the premiere last night I was like Gale all the way he is so sexy, and he is strong, and he can hunt. Peeta just works in the kitchen. I don't want a man in my kitchen. I want a man out hunting for me. I'm just teasing! I'm actually kind of fond of Peeta because he was really sweet in the movie.
TWIST: Did you have any embarrassing moments at the premiere?
We were at this after party and we were just walking around, looking for a place to sit down and there's this sectioned off area with a whole empty couch and we're like 'Yes! We can go sit on that couch, and eat our food, and it's going to be awesome!' So we pranced ourselves over and sat on the couch and we look up and there is a sign that says "This table reserved for Woody Harrelson" and he's standing right there! He plays Haymitch in the movie. You know, we sat there watching him through the whole movie play this great role and do a great job and then he's standing there being with his friends and we just plop down on his couch like we've known him forever! So we were like 'Oh dear!' and we stand up and we're like 'Sorry!' And we just walked off!
TWIST: How did he react?
Laura: He was like "It's ok!" It was really funny. Maybe one day we can be friends and sit at his table by invitation! Haha!
TWIST: Hopefully by invitation next time! Thanks for speaking with TWIST today!
SS: No worries, thank you!
