Last night's MTV Video Music Awards had some pretty jaw-dropping moments: Beyonce's baby news, Lady Gaga dressed as a man, Russell Brand and Bruno Mars' tribute to Amy Winehouse. But the fashion on the black carpet was just as exciting as what happened during the show. Celebs use the VMAs as their chance to wear something crazy and totally over the top. A short, sparkly dress definitely did Victoria justice, showing off her long legs. The lace on Selena's long, black gown gave it a gothic, Victorian spin, but the short length in the front kept it fun. Demi struck a confident pose in a short silver dress with a very deep V.
Miley often gets criticized for dressing too scandalously, but last night she was covered from neck to toe. A gray, long-sleeved gown kept her covered up. Rebecca Black's satin shorts and lace top had a flirty vibe and her matching blazer helped pull her look together.
The queen of fashion risks, Nicki Minaj wore a Gaga-esque geometrical dress, but cotton-candy colored hair, socks, face-mask and a giant stuffed animal gave it her own spin. She loves outlandish fashion! Beyonce opted for a more elegant vibe in a floor-length orange gown. Katy Perry wore a playful, Asian-inspired dress. And check out her pink hair - woah!
