TWIST Chats with Stereo Skyline!

Hey Ladies,

We just sat down with the hotties of Stereo Skyline: Kevin, Rob, Brian and Clayton. These cuties spilled about their new album, their single Tongue Tied, and their thoughts about dating a fan!! They even brought us cupcakes, so we're totally lovin' this foursome!

Check out the exclusive live performance of one of the band's fave tracks A Little More Us, and then tell us what you think in the comments!

TTYL,
Intern Sara

TWIST: Hey Stereo Skyline, thanks for coming today! Can you tell us a little bit about your music?

KEVIN: Sure! I think whenever we are asked this question, we always come up with the same answer, collectively: it's fun, positive, and happy. It's not specifically a genre, like, a lot of people say, 'oh we play this kind of music,' but I think we just play what comes out; it's usually pop music.

ROB: It's very fun, happy and upbeat. And we've been told that, if it were a cupcake, it would be funfetti.

TWIST: So where do you get the inspiration for your songs?

KEVIN: We're big into writing songs that people can relate to. Our first single Tongue Tied is a song about not being able to talk someone that you think is attractive, but you really want to. It's a scenario that everyone has gone through. You think in your head about that person, and you build it up and you then realize that you have to go down and tell them...you know. I think everyone's gone through that.

TWIST: Your album is coming out soon. Are you guys excited for that?

BRIAN: We are so excited! I know we've been waiting for this for so long now, we've been working on this record for about two years. It's pretty crazy to see that it's finally about to be released! It kind of feels so surreal, we saw our CD's for the first time, like two, three days ago and we were just kind of like wow, like pinching ourselves.

TWIST: So you guys have any plans to celebrate?

ROB: The day the album comes out we're actually playing a in-store performance and signing, on Long Island, at a place called Looney Tunes, so I think after that we're just going to all hang out with some of our family members and friends, and barbeque or something like that.

KEVIN: Yeah, I'm a good cook.

TWIST: So what are some of your favorite songs on the album?

CLAYTON: I think one of our favorite songs is A Little More Us. The mixture of everyone who wrote on it made it like the perfect pop song. In my opinion, it's like boy band-ish, but not too boy-band-ish, but it has a little bit of a rock feeling to it but it's all around just a feel-good song.

KEVIN: I think we all like that one a lot, but my favorite is definitely a song called Me and You. It's like our version of a ballad, a pop ballad.

BRIAN: I'm actually really excited for the re-done version of 'Heartbeat.' That song kind of brought us through everything, so it's kind of cool to still be able to share that, with everyone.

ROB: I'm a big fan of A Little More Us. But our new single, Tongue Tied which we just did a video for, is pretty crazy too.

TWIST: Well, talking about Tongue Tied, you guys mentioned before it was about not being able to tell that girl that you like her. Have you guys ever been tongue-tied?

KEVIN: Its funny, because we can get up on stage and play in front of a couple thousand people, but I still think if any of us sees a pretty girl at the mall we just like freeze.

BRIAN: I'm a pretty goofy, outgoing guy, but when I first met Mandy, who's my girlfriend now, I was so nervous, I thought she was so cute and so I wanted to make a good impression, but I couldn't.

TWIST: Oh, Brian, you have a girlfriend! Are the rest of you single?

STEREO SKYLINE: Yes we are.

TWIST: Would you guys date a fan?

CLAYTON: If Taylor Swift was a fan, then maybe.

KEVIN: I think it's about the people, not about what kind of music they listen to.

TWIST: So what's the craziest thing you guys have ever done to impress a girl?

CLAYTON: I asked a girl out once while she was in France. I sent her a card asking her out in French, it was like a telegram service. So she woke up one morning, and had a telegram asking her out in French, but she couldn't read French! So she had to have her step-brother interpret it in front of her whole family, and he was like getting it all wrong. But she said yes, so it turned out ok.

BRIAN: One time we were on tour in Boston, and my girlfriend was in L.A. So one night, I was talking to her at four in the morning and I just decided I needed to see her. So, we were staying at my friend, Jimmy's house, and he happened to have to go the airport, so without telling anybody, I just left, and went to the airport. I basically flew 12 hours to see her for 10 hours. That was definitely like the craziest thing I had ever done.

TWIST: Wow, she probably really appreciated that.

BRIAN: It was very romantic of me.

TWIST: Totally! Well, thanks so much Stereo Skyline! We can't wait for the album!

STEREO SKYLINE: Yea, don't forget to check it out! Thanks TWIST!
