TWIST: Hey Runner Runner, thanks for chatting with us! Can you guys tell us a little bit about your music?
Ryan: Our music is like a pop-rock sound ranging from bands like Cheap Trick and The Cars, all the way to The Killers and Lady Gaga. It's a fusion of everything we grew up listening to and everything we listen to now. It's very guitar heavy, with some synth and big vocals. Peter and I do all the singing and big harmonies and just a lot of melodic catchy hard rock.

TWIST: We love your single So Obvious. Have any of you guys ever been in a long-distance relationship like the song is about?
Ryan: I think everyone has probably been in that situation. When you're traveling a lot it's easy to fall into long-distance relationship situations. I think everyone in the band has probably been in that situation or is currently in that type of situation. When you're always away from people you want to be with, like girlfriends and family, the song So Obvious, I think just captures that. Especially with lines like 'I need you here, but you're always so far away.' No matter what or how far away you travel from that person you're heart is still beating for them.

TWIST: How do you guys keep your relationships strong while you're on tour?
James: Therese lots of little tricks we do, like there's this new crazy invention I just got, called an iPhone. Like you press the numbers on it and you can call people (laughs). No I'm kidding, but for real cell phones are a big thing, you definitely have to set aside like a time in the day to call loved ones. With my girlfriend, we kind of have a schedule, like we talk right when she gets off from work, her commute is about an hour so that's when we usually talk. I always try to make time to call her. You just have to make a schedule of it and make time to say hello.
Nick: I think sending flowers is always a good trick to girls and moms.

TWIST: You just wrapped up filming your first music video for So Obvious, what was that like?
Ryan: It was amazing. We had a great time, but it's really exhausting. It was a really long day. I think we started at 6:30am and didn't finish till 10:30pm. We had to do the entire shoot in one day. But the director had a really clear-cut vision and we just kind of rolled with the punches. We loved the cell phone theme in the video, it's so true today, people are so pre-occupied with technology.
Jon: And we were leaving for our tour the next morning.
Ryan: Yeah, it was busy but it was really fun. We had a bunch of friends there hanging out, so it's really cool to see how it's all put together. And the crew was awesome, and really professional. We can't wait to do another one.

TWIST: Do you guys have girlfriends?
Jon: Some of us do.
James: I have a girlfriend
Ryan: Yes, so do I, and she packs my clothes for me when I go on tour. Which helps because I don't like to do it.
Nick: I do not have a girlfriend.
Jon: Nick's the only single person in the band.

TWIST: So Nick, would you date a fan?
Nick: Good question. I would date someone that's a fan of music. I think if someone was at the front row of our shows it might be strange, but I would definitely date someone that likes our band. We're trying to write songs that everyone likes, so if I meet a girl that likes our songs it's kinda cool.
James: It's definitely way better to date a girl that likes your band over disliking it.
Nick: As long as she is a fan of me first, then my music. Not the other way around.

TWIST: What's the craziest thing you guys have ever done to impress a girl?
James: In high school there was this girl that I really liked and she was just not interested, pretty much didn't like me at all. But I got her a rose every day for like a month. At first she would throw them in the trash but by the end of the month she was my girlfriend. So I won her over.
Ryan: One time I went up to this girl's college and tried to hang out with her. I totally put my feelings on the line. I was like ' I think you're so cool,' and I took her out to this dinner and it ended up being a disaster. I thought it was a nice place and it was terrible and the date just kept going really wrong. I though I was going to win her over at the end, but I just did not win her over at all. It was a disaster.
Jon: One Christmas, I was friends with this girl and I wanted her to be my girlfriend. So I had my friend drop me off at her house in the morning and we had this huge wrapped box with a cover and a bow on top and I put a note on it asking her to be my girlfriend. Then I went in the box and when she came outside she saw me in there. She said yes after that. I'm adorable.

TWIST: Any celebrity crushes?
James: Megan Fox. I think she is foxy.
Jon: Kim Kardashian and Lady Gaga.
Nick: Kesha and Justin Bieber, I have Bieber fever.
Peter: I know she's kinda young but I love Selena Gomez and her CD.
James: I like Joe Jonas too.
Ryan: I like Taylor Swift and I like that she is a songwriter and that she's tall.

TWIST: Thanks so much guys!!
RUNNER RUNNER: Thank you TWIST!!
