TWIST: Hey Roscoe! Tell us about your album.
Roscoe Dash: Album will be out June 22. It's called Ready, Set, Go. A lot of people ask me if I have a lot of A-list features on my album, but I felt like this time around I really just wanted to give people a feel for me. It's like my introduction. Maybe the next time around, we will get some more features, but this time around I just want to give people a feel for me. Give them a feel for who Roscoe Dash is rather than just learning me through my records.
TWIST: Do you have a favorite song on the album?
Roscoe: "Show Out" is probably my favorite because it's the follow-up. First record was kind of like the get your foot in the door record, but then the follow up is that way of securing your spot. That's probably my favorite one. It gets the best reaction from listeners.
TWIST: Who are your musical influences?
Roscoe: I would say Outkast, first and foremost. They really just opened the door for me and showed me how to be different. Outkast plays a big part in any and everything you hear coming from me, still to this day.
TWIST: Tell us about your style, your fashion sense.
Roscoe: It's really just off-the-wall. I just do what everyone else is not doing, but whatever makes me comfortable at the same time. I try to take it to the next level and be the first to rock something.
TWST: You say it's "off-the-wall," so what's the most outrageous thing you have ever worn?
Roscoe: These pants I've got on right now actually. They look like three pairs of pants, and I put two belts on them. I have some new stuff that I'm bringing out, trying to rock.
TWIST: Do you have any weird quirks that make you who you are?
Roscoe: I have a foot phobia. I hate feet. If they got socks on it's cool, but besides that -- Ugh! Can't do it! (Laughs).
Thanks Roscoe!
