The Buried Life Premieres Tonight: Will You Watch?

Hey TWIST girls!

The cuties from MTV's The Buried Life stopped by the TWIST offices last week, and we had a blast hanging out with them! (Total hottie alert, btw!) During our chat, they gave us major scoop on their show, which premieres tonight at 10 pm on MTV.

Check out our Q&A with Ben, Duncan, Jonnie and Dave after the jump! But be sure to tell us: what would be on your list of things to do in your life? Spill your ideas in the comments!

Hugs,
Kourt

TWIST: Tell us about The Buried Life. What is it about and how did this idea come about?
Ben: The Buried Life started four years ago in 2006. The four of us lived in the same town and we didn't really know what to do with our lives. We were in college, and we felt like there was something missing. We basically decided to make a list of all the things that we ever wanted to do because we didn't want to wait. And with that list we made a promise to help other people do the things that they wanted to do. So we could ask them the question, 'What do you want to do before you die?' Then, if we could help them do something on their list, we would. We left in 2006 in our RV, bought a camera on eBay and just started filming. After the 2-week tour, there was a lot of momentum building around the project and people were emailing us with their lists and people also emailed us asking if they could help us with our list. So we decided to keep going for four years. The whole goal is to make a documentary and what we ended up doing was taking some of the footage and make a TV show.

TWIST: What are some of your must-have items while traveling on the road?
Jonnie: I gotta have a computer wherever we go. And a camera because we got up to so much crazy stuff I'm usually in charge of capturing it all.

Duncan: We love costumes - we have a lot of crazy wigs and crazy costumes in the bus - and they're probably the most important thing on tour with us.

Jonnie: I agree. It gives it the road trip feel because we're always on the road. We also have cans of tuna because we usually don't eat too well on the road. We should clarify too, the name of the bus is "Penelope." She's the girl that keeps it all together (laughs). She's from 1968 - she's almost 40 years old, wait, I mean she IS 40 years old! She takes us everywhere we go. She's definitely like a motherly figure for the four of us. She can be very stern, but she keeps us in line.

TWIST: What is your craziest to-do thing on the list?
Duncan: I think its number 100 -- Go to Space! We all want to do it! We've been calling Virgin Galactic, who boasts that they're going to start bringing people to space. We call them every day. The other thing is number 95 -- Play basketball with President Obama. That's actually one of the things we've been going at, well, went after, this summer. It's one of our episodes, but I'm not going to give it away!
