Hey TWIST girls!
We just talked to Life Unexpected star Britt Robertson, and we are super-pumped for the new CW show to premiere tonight! We got a sneak peek at the first three episodes, and we can tell you we're hooked. Take a look at our exclusive phone convo with Britt below, and be sure to tune in at 9 pm tonight for the series premiere!
TWIST: Hi Britt! We're so excited for the show, so what can you tell us about it and your character, Lux?
Britt: Life Unexpected follows Lux, a 16-year-old girl who seeks out her biological parents. She's been in foster care since she was young, and she's looking to get emancipated from the system.

TWIST: What happens when she finds her parents?
Britt: She finds out her mom is actually one of her idols from her childhood -- a popular radio disc jockey that Lux always listened to. And then, Lux meets her dad and he's a lowly bartender who she'd never expect to be her father. So through certain circumstances, Lux is put into their custody, and they form this triangular family dynamic.
TWIST: So, in this first season, what would you like to see happen to Lux?
Britt: I think it'd be interesting to see how she handles being a teenager and not having to worry about how she's going to pay bills or where she's going to end up living. It'll be interesting to see her handle being a normal teenager and normal situations, and be able to make mistakes.
TWIST: And will we see her going to high school and deal with all those fun adventures of dating?
Britt: Most definitely! She ends up going to a new high school in episode 3, and she already has a best friend and boyfriend. So, she ends up making new friends at her high school and has to deal with that. You definitely get to see her teenage life outside of her family.
