Hey Twist Fashionistas!
Mixing up patterns such as polka dots and stripes may seem like a horrific idea, but if you do it right, then you'll look so chic and fabulous! Take a look at The City's Whitney Port's choice in clothing. She pairs two very busy designs -- polka dots with lace -- but rocks it!
To make two different patterns work together, choose one or two solid colors that go well together. Whitney has black and light blue as her base colors. Also, make sure the patterns are subtle rather than huge and showy. See how Whitney's polka dots are on the smaller side and the lace is detailed but not too crazy?
So what do you girls think? Do you think you would ever combine patterns in your wardrobe to try out this fashion trend? And do you like Whitney's outfit?

I think that Whitney's outfit is really nice, but sometimes mixing patterns can turn out bad!

Not too cute....it looks as if the 50s and 80s style collided. Not exactly something you WANT to happen...

this lady needs to hire someone who knows wat style is, my little brother could put together a better outfit than that!!!!
If I was a "fashion teacher" that would be my #1 rule do not mix patterns! My little sister comes out with a red, blue, and orange striped skirt on and a purple, yellow, and green striped top on. AHHH!
