Let the countdown begin, girls! The MTV Video Music Awards will air live from NYC at 9 pm on Sept. 13! Today, the first performer and host were announced!
Taylor Swift will make her VMA debut this year, performing a new version of her hit "You Belong with Me." Maybe Lucas Till will be a surprise guest?
"I'm so excited that MTV and the VMAs have invited me to perform, because I think this year's show will be unlike anything they've ever done!" Taylor spills. "I love incorporating theatrics into my performances and the VMAs have always allowed artists to run with that. MTV has been so good to me, and I could not be more excited about this year's VMAs."
Coming back for a second round of hosting duties is comedian Russell Brand. Nominees will be announced within the next few weeks, so be sure to come back here for the latest VMA info!
