Hey TWIST girls,
Ever since "Paranoid" hit the airwaves, JB have been denying that the song's about their own personal experiences. (Peeps assumed it was a breakup anthem in response to Taylor Swift's "Forever & Always").
And now, they're saying the same thing about another song off their upcoming album! When deets first emerged that "Poison Ivy" dealt with "how something may not be too good for you, but you keep going back to it because you can't resist the urge, the itch, to go back to the person," fans thought the boys could be alluding to Nick's exes Selena or Miley.
But Nick says, "Sometimes when we write songs, it's not something we've been through. It's something that we've seen someone else go through and we say, 'Why don't we write a song about that?'"
Since Taylor Swift and Miley have been so open about their breakups with JB, why do you think JB stay mum? Do you wish they opened up more about their dating lives? Comment now to weigh in!
i would like to point out that the jonas brothers are CLASSY. just because they DONT want to trash talk their ex and be immature about things doesnt mean there afraid to "open up". they just have respect for their ex's even though things went wrong unlike SOME people. so just becuase you think you can get a good story out of something stupid doesnt mean you need to start it about jb because you should know that you have millions of fans who will defend them for anything. so stop starting rumors
i think they dont want 2 open up everyone is into gossip but celebs arent they dont want to say nothing becuze then it becomes a rumor or a feud jonas has a right not to open up
I think that the Jonas Brothers are really private people. Nothing is wrong with that. It does kinda aggravate me when I want to know what a song is about or who it's about, but we need to respect their want to stay private. Whatever they choose to talk about or not talk about is up to them.
The Jonas Brothers don't have to tell you everything about their personal lives. Their exes did because they probably just wanted attention. The Jonas Brothers are sophisticated young men and don't need to rag on their exes for more "juicy gossip." It's none of anyones business who they're dating and what happened between him and her.
It's called respect, which is something other celebrities tend to lack. Plain and simple.
I think they should keep their dating lives secret, I mean every other part of their lives is out in the open and everyone knows what they're doing so they should keep their love life a secret... But if everyone knows they're dating someone they should just say yes I am dating her instead of just denying it constantly...

I wish they opened up about their personal lives but I understand because I wouldn't want everyone knowing my personal life. It would be hard.
like they said; not all their songs are about personal experiences.
but even if they are about personal experiences fans can kind of assume who the song may be about or what its about.
i think Nick Kevin and Joe do that on purpose so the fans can figure out what the song really means :]

I agree with #1 jonas . They respect their ex's so they aren't going to say rude things about them. Just because you want a story doesn't mean you have to say dumb thing like, " Are JB afraid to open up?"! :D
I think the Jonas Brothers want to be known by their music and not their relationships. They have the right to keep their personal lives to themselves.
I am very into stars and their personal and outside lives and this is my opinion. If they want to tell something about a relationship, go on ahead! If they dont then fans and other people just have to deal with it! Whenever a star tells something about themselves or does something that gets them both negative and postive results in the end it just gets them more popularity. I really have sat there and studies all the stuff that has come out of Miley,Selena,Taylor, and Jb, And I Think that you know they had great realationships. Nick once sang "MY GIRL" to miley and taylor was in the same movie as JB. But in my opinion Selena and Nick were not BF/GF! They might have gone on a couple of dates but that was about it in my opinion.

Anyways ok the Jonas brothers write their songs from the heart. The JB's would never trash talk a girl or an ex girlfriend. So I dont know what the problem is. Their not afraid to open up. Some people like to keep to themselves ?

When they wrote the "Thats why my ex is still my ex" part,joe wasnt even there he was in the bathroom. and even if they dont want to open up WHO CARES!?!?! how are we going to benifit from them talking about relashinships and girls and dating and blah blah blah. I agree with everyone else I wish I knew more about them but they are sweet classy boys that aren't going to be rude to an ex and I totally respect that
they should still keep quite about it because it's their private life and they're just as normal as we are regardless of how famous they are. sure we want to know dishes of who's dating who, but in reality it's their private life and we should respect the fact that they want to keep it private. :)
